The Whelping Room... Here’s a look at where the puppies will be born and raised, since it’s just Joe and me most of the time we can keep the main area of our home restful the first few weeks while still allowing Winnie to participate as part of the family. Winnie loves her people, I think being away in another room would stress her out, and this way the puppies are constantly exposed to daily noise.
The Puppies POP! At 52 days Winnie is currently in the “rapid growth” stage of the pregnancy, it’s amazing to watch her belly grow so quickly. The first picture is from 3/19, and the second was taken 3/22, that’s 4 days!
Right now I’m feeding her an extra full meal a day so she’s eating 4 meals. She is in great spirits and still regularly tries to lure us outside to play ball, but instead of throwing it we hold the ball and run around the yard and let her chase us. That little bit of activity seems to make her happy, but it’s not too stressful on her body.
